So one of my kids favorite dishes for breakfast and lunch is Thai basil fried with Garlic and any chili’s (well not so much the chili's). Traditionally oyster sauce is used as the gravy and for good reason. It is tasty and goes great with this combo. The fried egg is usually served on top. Cai Dao.
Step 1
Gather the ingredients.
1 egg
1 clove of garlic
1/4-1/2 teaspoon of Knorr Chicken soup bouillon
3 chili’s or peppers of your heat preferenc. ( Here I use Banana peppers. Whan likes birds eye chilis. )
3-4 ounces of Pork mince
5-6 fresh basil leaves with stems
olive oil or your choice of oil
mortis and pestle
step 2
Slice the chili into rings
Add the garlic clove and knorr seasoning to the Morris and pestle
pound the garlic into a mince
add the chili’s with seeds if you like spicy or remove the seeds if you don’t like spicy and pound until slightly bruised. step 3
heat the olive pile in a wok and add the minced peppers and garlic salt mix
Step 4
fry until golden brown
Step 5
cook and break up the pork mince until it’s cooked and starting to brown. Don’t worry if the peppers start to brown.
Step 6
add the oyster sauce and toss in the wok until it’s mixed and bubbling. Then turn off the heat.
Step 7
break up the basil with your hands and toss in the mix.
Step 8. fry an egg until it’s crispy on the dyes and the yolk is still runny. The egg has to be crispy to add some great texture and the yolk is best still runny to add some flavor. plate with fresh cooked rice.
Add the rice.
Then put the pad Khra pao on the side.
put the fried egg on top of the Khra Pao.
Step 9
eat in portions or as I like to eat it just mix it all up and enjoy!!!
